Schools

Both our curriculum and extra curricular basketball lessons aim to deliver the highest level of youth basketball.

We offer extra curricular clubs for both primary and secondary schools bringing our expert knowledge to your school.

Our curriculum lessons can aid teaching staff in their continued professional development and help to teach ball and movement skills essential to a child's athletic development, inkeeping with the national curriculum. These sessions can even be tailored to suit your school's needs; inorporating drills to work on leadership, teamwork, confidence building and decision making amongst others.

All of our sessions work on an "Every Child Matters" basis. We ensure to build and plan our sessions to cater for the development of skills both on and off the basketball court. We believe in the devlopment of the person and not just the player.

Club Basketball

Basketball is one of the fastest growing sports not only in the UK but internationally. There is no better time to get involved!

Whether a more seasoned veteran player or a complete beginner Mammoth Basketball can find you the perfect spot to improve and achieve at a level suited to you.

Our club, South Lancashire Mammoths, is an affiliate of Basketball England and is run by experienced and qualified coaches who have experience running clubs and teams at the national league and regional level in the UK as well as in the USA and Asia.

 

 

Coach Josh

Mammoth Basketball is run by Coach Josh Metters. Josh is fully qualified with Basketball England, trained in First Aid and Child Protection and Safeguarding.

With over 10 years of coaching experience Josh has plied his trade in the junior national league in England, delivered a series of clinics and camps in Maryland, USA and most recently in Mumbai, India. Josh has also been selected repeatedly to coach at the county and regional performance levels.

Josh also has experience coaching at all levels; ranging from introductory sessions for key stage one students, to sixth form college academy teams and individual workouts with elite junior and senior players.
